Using her entrepreneurial spirit and artistic eye, UK-born and Trinidad-based Rachel Lee Young has transformed her love of nature and photography into an emerging Caribbean lifestyle brand, “The Land of the Hummingbird”. Since 2018 the fresh, joyful and authentic designs created from Rachel’s photographs have celebrated and promoted the natural beauty of Trinidad and Tobago locally and increasingly in the international market.
Proudly made in Trinidad and Tobago to the highest standards by mostly women-owned small and micro businesses, the collection includes homewares, greetings cards, accessories, statement kaftans and gym and leisure wear. The timeless, versatile fashion pieces are made from small-batch fabrics printed using eco-friendly inks.
Rachel has already enjoyed several successful collaborations and design commissions and looks forward to exploring further opportunities as the brand develops.
Rachel is passionate about photography and design, hummingbirds, pollinators and nature. Mainly hummingbirds!
We have two product ranges: "Proudly T&T" and "Made to Order". Our Proudly T&T products are all made in Trinidad and Tobago by Rachel and local artisans and small companies. Wherever possible we do our printing in T&T, but at the moment much of our fabric is printed in small batches with our designs overseas. We have lots of our Proudly T&T products in stock but occasionally we will make your order as soon as we receive it, which can take 7-14 days depending on the product. Currently our Proudly T&T products are available to order from our studio and several outlets in T&T.
Our Made to Order products may be ordered via this website or direct from us and ship worldwide. They are manufactured in the USA, Mexico and Europe, depending on the product and your shipping address. These products are normally dispatched within 7 days and may take 1-3 weeks to arrive. Please note that the buyer is responsible for any import duties and taxes payable on orders.
We ship to all locations in Trinidad and Tobago and Worldwide.
